An average day in a traders life

Before I blow you away with my exciting stories from Colombia, let me walk you through what would be a typical workday for me…

It is 4.45 my alarm goes off for the first time, I am definitely not ready to get up... not after that delicious (late) dinner with friends last night. I decide to wait for my 2nd alarm....
BEEP BEEEP BEEP... it's 5.15 now, its the 3rd time my alarm goes banana through the whole flat (yes the whole 60m2)!
I better get out of bed.... that is if I don’t want my partner to kick me out himself, he is not a fan of my 3 alarm-rule ... oh well ;-)

Decisions decisions...
For a second I hesitate... do I quickly shower at home and take the tube - where I can have a quick snooze- or … do I try to burn last night’s dinner off by running to work?
One look outside and I am convinced, it is not every day that London is sunny like this!

6.25 am, I am sat at my desk, all showered and energized! Let the day begin!

On a good day we spent 12 hours a day at work doing our day-to-day –trading-job, discussing strategies, going on client meetings, …
I love my job, I love the variety, the adrenaline, the international team, every single aspect really.
For the past ten years I have been working as a sales trader in London, the last 5 of those years I have had the pleasure of being part of the electronic trading desk at Credit Suisse.
